Neumont University FReX - March 2013

This weekend, March 15^th through March 17^th, is Neumont's Freshman Experience (FReX). Accepted students from all around the world will be traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit our new Salt Lake campus and our current South Jordan campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet current students and witness their talents as they reveal their projects at Neumont's Project Showcase. Other activities include viewing our new Salt Lake City campus, viewing the new student apartments, student and parent panels, and informative sessions with our financial aid team as well as our current faculty.

Neumont University Career Week 3/13

February 25^th through March 1^st was Neumont University's quarterly Career Week. Career Week provides current and graduating students with opportunities to meet and interview with companies that are directly interested in Neumont graduates. Some of our Career Week participants included companies such as Overstock.com, EMC², Interknowlogy, REI Systems, Fugro, Oracle, Vivint, and Zion’s Bank. Neumont Student Project Reviews: Project Showcase

Congratulations, the quarter is almost over and now it’s time to show off what you’ve accomplished, and check out the exciting projects other students are working on, at Project Showcase.

WHEN: Friday, March 15, 2013, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm - Project classes have mandatory attendance for Project Showcase instead of in-class work.  Showcase set-up begins at 1:00 pm on Friday in Room 200. Real estate for presenting your projects is first-come, first-served and you will need to prepare a poster or sign of some sort to clearly highlight your project name.

Please check your registration confirmation carefully to ensure it is listed and correct.  No changes may be made to your project designation after Thursday at 3:00 pm, and no more entries into Showcase are allowed after 11:55 today – NO EXCEPTIONS.

NOTE: Project Showcase will be part of Neumont FReX 2013 (Freshmen Experience Weekend). Following Showcase there will be a gaming night on campus and a pie launching contest using trebuchets.  Join us for a night of fun, food, and new friends from 6:30 – 10:3 0 in Room 200 and the Gaming Chamber.

Neumont's Trip to Brighton Ski Resort

This Saturday, January 26th, Neumont University students and teachers will be heading out to Brighton Ski Resort! This past December has given Utah some great snowboarding/skiing conditions and we are definitely taking advantage of the fresh powder. Students and teachers are paying an extremely low price of $45 for shuttle transportation, beginner's snowboarding/skiing lessons, beginner's lift pass, and snowboard/ski rentals. Sounds like a great way to spend your weekend, doesn't it? To everyone attending the event, have fun and be safe!

The Neumont University Virtual Bookstore is now open and it’s time to order textbooks for next quarter.  MBS Direct will also be conducting a book buyback program; information on the buyback program can be found online at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/vb_buyback.php?FVCUSNO=36206.
