Virtual Bookstore is Now Open

The Neumont University Virtual Bookstore is now open and it’s time to order textbooks for next quarter.  MBS Direct will also be conducting a book buyback program; information on the buyback program can be found online at http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/vb_buyback.php?FVCUSNO=36206.

The Virtual Bookstore (MBS Direct - http://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/neumont.htm) is organized according to class names and will provide you with real-time inventory when ordering.  

If you plan on using your Student Financial Aid (SFA) to purchase your text books, please make sure your financial aid is up to date.  (You may contact Kristi Robertson in Financial Aid to verify your status and eligibility.)   

You may want to reset the spam filter on your Outlook account to allow e-mails from MBS Direct to enter your inbox.  MBS Direct will e-mail your SFA Voucher.

When you order your text books you will need the following information:

• Course schedule with course numbers and titles (e.g. MAT 220 Algebra)
• The address you wish to have your order shipped to
• Your SFA Voucher number and student identification number (shown on your ID badge) or credit/debit card information

The Neumont University Virtual Bookstore is open for business TODAY.

The Virtual Bookstore is organized according to class names and will provide you with real-time inventory when ordering. When you order your text books you will need the following information:

• Course schedule with course numbers and titles (e.g. MAT 220 Linear Algebra)
• The address you wish to have your order shipped to
• Your SFA Voucher number and student identification number (shown on your ID badge) or credit/debit card information
• Please check the designation of each book in relation to your class. You are not required to purchase text books with the designation “recommended or optional.”

MBS Direct will also be conducting a book buyback program. Information on the buyback program can be found directly on the VB site.

Neumont Student Employment Opportunities

The Student Affairs team is looking for the following student workers to join our staff:

RESIDENT ASSISTANT

Duties include:
Develop and nurture a Housing Community
Coordinating various social, educational and recreational activities
On-call responsibilities (this includes 24 hour access in emergency situations)
Address roommate issues, conflict resolution/mediation, etc.
Complete apartment check-in/out procedures
Furniture moving, apartment set-up as changes occur
Conduct health and safety inspections for each apartment
Support school programs and policies
Van driving duties
Assist with Orientation and other community events

STORE WORKER

Duties include:
Orientation preparation
Store transactions (meal cards, ID badges, etc.)
Assisting with student activities on and off campus
Van runs
Basic upkeep of classrooms and campus common areas
Customer service
Fielding questions from students and faculty

ACADEMIC COACH

Duties include:
Be a problem-solver in the classroom and assist students as needed
Meet with supervisors to discuss students' grades, and grade-related tasks.
Schedule and maintain regular office hours to meet with students.
Evaluate and grade examinations, assignments, and papers
Record grades with timely and effective feedback.
Attend lectures on a regular basis given by the instructor whom they are assisting.
Attend Orientation and other relevant campus events
