We have a camping trip coming up on Saturday, May 14th, to Crystal Hot Springs near Brigham City, Utah. Students may attend the camp out for $5.00 which covers food, transportation, and camping access fees. Students are responsible for the cost of entrance into the hot springs, Download a discount coupon here: http://crystalhotsprings.net/offers/coupon.pdf.
About Crystal Hot Springs - nestled at the foot of Utah's Wasatch Mountains, Crystal Hot Springs is one of only two location sin the world that has both a hot and cold spring - less than 50 feet apart. These springs also have the highest mineral content of any hot springs in the United States and has been a favorite spot for campers and swimmers since 1901.
Many students do not have any camping supplies (especially sleeping bags.) I’m posting this in hopes of rounding up some supplies so that more students may be able to attend this trip. Please contact me if you would like to go or if you have sleeping bags or other camping equipment available for us to use. Thank you.
Sincerely,
John "JP" Peppinger
Crystal Hot Springs rules...wish I was going.
ReplyDeleteWish we knew this when the students were home for spring break. They could have taken some equipment with them when they returned to Neumont after Spring Break and be prepared.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can contact Park & Rec or Boy Scout troops for equipment. Boy Scout troops typically have tents & portable kitchens....
Great tip, thanks! JP, we can also rent from REI if needed, or the University of Utah outdoor rec program: http://web.utah.edu/campusrec/outdoor_rec/rentals.html
ReplyDeleteYou probably already know this but USG is totally willing to let students use the camping supplies we bought for them a few quarters ago. If my records are accurate, we have 3 6-person tents, 3 2-person tents, as well as some lanterns, flashlights, first aid kits, and water jugs.
